Dr. Liya Ding's laboratory in the Department of Immunology at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a highly motivated HRI Scientist to join their research team. The lab focuses on investigating tumor-immune interactions to identify key regulators within the tumor's immunosuppressive microenvironment during tumor progression, metastasis, and therapeutic resistance. The research employs advanced techniques, including tumor-immune cell co-culture, syngeneic and humanized mouse models, CRISPR screening, scRNA-seq, spatial biology imaging, and bioinformatics. Supported by grants from the NIH/NCI, DOD, and private foundations, the lab fosters a collaborative research environment. The HRI Scientist will conduct research on immune-tumor interactions, with a focus on immunosuppressive mechanisms in ovarian and prostate tumors. The role also involves contributing to preclinical studies that inform therapeutic strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams on translational research, and mentoring junior scientists and students. The salary range for this position is $39,900-$185,000 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience. Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 1. M.D. or PhD in an appropriate field; or 2. Master's degree in an appropriate field. NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices. Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Immunology, Tumor Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Strong background in tumor immunology and immune modulation. Proven ability to independently design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and interpret results. Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
