Description
We are looking for someone to work and grow with the firm. This is a junior-level litigation paralegal position. As such, the candidate will be responsible for helping manage medical malpractice cases along with various types of complex personal injury cases throughout the litigation process. The candidate will also be responsible for overseeing other paralegals in the firm.
As a member of the team, you are directly contributing to the clients' successful outcomes and futures.

Responsibilities
•Effectively manage client and attorney expectations and provide status continually and proactively •Maintain multiple calendars and coordinate case-related meetings and calls •Meet assigned, case-related deadlines •Ensure that the supervising attorney is constantly up-to-date with any and all case movement •Proficiently maintain case files and related documents within multiple software applications •Coordinate between attorney(s) and other departments, such as Medical Records and Accounting •Review Medical, Billing, and other records and draft related documents •Proactively communicate with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and internal staff •Maintain HIPAA compliance throughout the life-cycle of cases(s) •Maintain thorough documentation throughout the entire duration of all cases •Drafting and sending Chapter 74 notices accordingly •Evaluate medical records and apply evaluation to case(s) appropriately •Draft letters, motions, reports, and additional court documents accurately •Help attorneys prepare cases for trial, including but not limited to mediation preparation •Prepare discovery and responses to discovery requests •Draft and file pleadings and manage response deadlines •Obtain all corrected/finalized liens for demands and draft Paid v. Incurred documents •Draft demands and counter-demands •Maintain client and firm expenses for each case and prepare/confirm Disbursement Illustrations
Qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in Plaintiff Medical Malpractice and/or Plaintiff General Negligence litigation.
Candidates must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and demonstrate strong overall technology skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Texas procedural rules and be well-versed in both State and Federal Court practices.
