Idex Test Technician Position

Job Summary:
The Test Technician position performs the final optical assembly optimization and tests within budget that are accurate and repeatable. This position also serves as a liaison to the assembly team giving feedback on build quality and performance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform optical tests accurately and consistently. Ability to fully understand optical theories and terminology. Identify test equipment difficulties. Follow production schedules. Complies with health and safety policies and procedures. Supports company values including ethical conduct and high integrity in all actions. Other Duties and Responsibilities: Diagnose assembly failures and give correction action. Comply with the Clean Room Protocol when entering a clean room environment. Performs simple assembly functions. Equipment Utilized: All optical test equipment. All optical analytical software. Other machines, equipment and tools, as required, to complete duties and responsibilities listed above. Personal protective equipment, as required. Clean room attire, as required. Education/Training/Work Related Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Optical background preferred. Associates degree in optics or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Written and verbal communication with direct manager and engineering. Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Other Skills and Abilities: Proficient computer skills
Microsoft Word/Excel. Well versed in Optical theories and terminology. Qualification Requirements:
