About the job Proposal Manager
As a Remote Proposal Manager, you will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality proposals that win business and strengthen client relationships. This role involves collaborating with sales, marketing, subject matter experts, and leadership to ensure proposals are strategic, compliant, compelling, and aligned with the organizations goals.
You will oversee the proposal process from opportunity identification through submission, ensuring deadlines are met while maintaining a consistent brand voice and compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements.
Responsibilities:
Lead proposal planning sessions and manage the proposal lifecycle for RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and unsolicited proposals.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, finance, legal) to gather and validate proposal content.
Develop and maintain proposal templates, boilerplate language, and reusable content libraries.
Ensure proposals are compliant with solicitation requirements and company policies.
Conduct quality reviews for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client needs.
Manage proposal timelines, assign tasks, and track progress using project management tools.
Write and edit sections of proposals, ensuring clarity, persuasiveness, and brand consistency.
Analyze win/loss data to refine proposal strategies and improve success rates.
Support post-proposal activities, such as presentations and negotiations, when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in proposal management or business development.
Strong understanding of the RFP process and proposal best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with proposal management software (e.g., RFPIO, Loopio, Qvidian).
Ability to manage multiple complex proposals simultaneously under tight deadlines.
