OUR CLIENT A dynamic and forward-thinking firm is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and execution of cutting-edge building projects. This firm have a strong presence across North America and are involved in a broad range of building projects across different sectors including commercial, public and multi-family residential work.
THE ROLE
This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, developing innovative and efficient electrical engineering solutions that meet project requirements, budgets, and design aesthetics. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of electrical systems, building codes, and construction technologies to deliver high-quality, technically sound designs. Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering & Design: Develop and integrate electrical systems into comprehensive building designs, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Technical Development: Conduct engineering calculations, material research, and system evaluations to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Project Execution: Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and other industry-leading software .
  • Site & Field Assessments: Perform site evaluations, zoning reviews, and field surveys to document existing conditions and support project execution.
  • Quality Assurance: Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and project deliverables to ensure alignment with specifications, safety codes, and engineering best practices.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education & Accreditation: A post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng. designation or eligibility for professional registration is preferred.
  • Industry Expertise: 6-12 years of experience designing electrical systems for diverse building projects, including commercial, residential, institutional, or industrial sectors.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and electrical engineering modeling software.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Strong familiarity with building codes, electrical standards, and architectural coordination.
