Job Description:
- Manage day to day operations in tandem with executive management and consulting head somm elier
- Be a nightly presence on the floor representing the restaurant and pushing forward supreme hospitality at all times
- Participate in Pre Shift daily communicating with BOH, Beverage Team and executive team about focus and direction
- Handle guest complaints and anything that arises during the course of service
- Keep staff engaged and on task during service
- Keep communication flowing with executive management and staff
- Empower FOH + BOH team to continue evolving and learning
Beverage Duties and Responsibilities
- Willing to contribute to overall service and training
- Upselling bottles and wine pairings and touching tables whenever possible
- Cellar management - maintain current bin system, put away all wine orders and keep cellar neat and tidy
- Staff education weekly. Empowering servers / bartenders (with varying levels of knowledge) to engage with guests and upsell whenever possible
- Creative input on wine list
- Opportunity to learn how to run a restaurant / beverage program
- Work for highly acclaimed Recognized Chef
- Work with a constantly evolving wine list and beverage program
- Likely 2 closing shifts per week
- Place weekly orders to maintain BTG pars and adding to list
- Work in tandem with Bar Lead on ordering and creative
- Place weekly N/A Beverage orders in tandem with Bar
- Conduct monthly inventory with Bar (submit with all numbers)
- Work with ownership on creative, budgeting, costing, and overall profitability of beverage program.
