Compensation:

  • Front-of-House Trainer: $500/day + $250 travel day
  • Culinary BOH Trainer: $750/day + $250 travel day
  • Beverage Trainer: $500/day + $250 travel day

New School Consulting is hiring a group of experienced and inspiring hospitality professionals to join our training team. These contract roles are critical to the successful launch of a variety of new restaurant concepts across a variety of properties nationwide.

We are actively seeking Front-of-House Service Trainers , Culinary (Back-of-House) Trainers , and Beverage Program Trainers to provide hands-on guidance and structured support for one-week, on-site openings.

Each role requires a high level of professionalism, industry expertise, and the ability to train teams in both fine dining and casual restaurant environments. Trainers will represent New School Consulting on the ground, acting as operational leaders, service coaches, and ambassadors for excellence.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your area of expertise, you will:

Front-of-House Service Trainers

  • Deliver on-site training for FOH teams (servers, hosts, leads) on guest experience, service standards, and hospitality excellence.
  • Adapt quickly to various restaurant concepts and lead service simulations, pre-shift training, and service execution coaching.
  • Work collaboratively with property teams and New School leadership to meet concept and brand standards.
  • Oversee service performance during training weeks and offer feedback and documentation to help ensure long-term success.

Culinary BOH Trainers

  • Train kitchen teams on prep, line organization, food safety, execution timing, cleanliness, and consistency.
  • Implement systems that align with each property’s unique culinary concept while maintaining operational flow.
  • Guide kitchen staff through station training, recipe execution, and culinary leadership fundamentals.
  • Serve as an active mentor to chefs and cooks, driving discipline, accountability, and confidence across the back-of-house.

Beverage Program Trainers

  • Lead training for bartenders, bar backs, and front-of-house teams on wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic programs.
  • Execute tastings, bar setup walkthroughs, batching strategies, and speed-of-service coaching.
  • Ensure all beverages meet recipe standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support beverage directors and managers in maintaining systems and service excellence throughout the opening period.

What We’re Looking For

Across all roles, we’re seeking individuals who:

  • Have extensive experience in hospitality, including management-level roles in restaurants, hotels, or similar environments.
  • Are natural trainers —able to coach teams, inspire confidence, and model leadership by example.
  • Can communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently with team members, property leadership, and clients.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills , time management, and the ability to execute under pressure.
  • Are adaptable and flexible , with experience across both casual and fine dining environments.
  • Take initiative, think critically, and approach training with a solutions-oriented mindset .
  • Are comfortable traveling and available to commit to full, week-long project engagements (minimum 7 days on-site per assignment).
  • Represent New School with professionalism, polish, and a service-first attitude .
