OASES is seeking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt to the brand, values and culture of the company while evoking passion, positivity and creativity.
We are looking for a highly skilled candidate with a strong background in culinary arts and exceptional leadership skills. Applicants should be creative and open for blending diverse culinary traditions. As a Sous Chef you will be overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, staff management while ensuring consistent quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborative menu planning, development, tasting and production
- Incorporating innovative Ayurvedic, Himalayan and other Ancient clean ingredients from around the world
- Supervise, train and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards and sanitation guidelines
- Ordering supplies, assist in controlling food cost and inventory
- Lead by example with positive and professional attitude
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a high-volume upscale restaurant
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to motivate, drive and train your team
- Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisine
- Passion for new flavors and ingredients
- Knowledge of food safety
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure and fast paced environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail
