Are you passionate about baking and eager to grow your skills in a hands-on, fast-paced kitchen? We’re looking for a dedicated Assistant Bread Baker to join our team and help us craft high-quality, artisanal breads. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and a love for the craft are key!
Responsibilities:Assist head baker in mixing, shaping, and baking a variety of breads (sourdoughs, baguettes, focaccias, etc.)
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Manage proofing schedules and monitor fermentation
Help with prep and cleanup duties as needed
Occasionally assist with basic pastry prep (experience with laminated doughs, cookies, or tarts is a plus)
Prior experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen setting preferred
Basic knowledge of bread baking techniques and ingredients
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Punctual, reliable, and a team player
Willingness to learn and take direction
Pastry experience
Culinary school background
Experience with naturally leavened doughs
A supportive, growth-oriented kitchen environment
