Education & Skills
Have 2 year previous bartending experience bartending
Can demonstrate bartending ability and experience at the interview by pouring a pint of draft beer and making a cocktail on demand.
Is committed to furthering their knowledge base independently in spirits, bartending, cocktails, wine, craft beer, and/or home brewing
Is preferably RAMP certified, or at minimum understands the importance of following Pennsylvania state law about proper alcohol serving procedures

Physical skills
Can lift and carry 50 lbs, including large buckets of ice, pots of hot syrup, cases of beer and full sixtels up and down stairs
Can stand, twist, lift, reach, and pour for 8-hour shifts with minimal breaks
Has manual dexterity to shake, twist, cut, squeeze, slice, stir, scoop, and spear
Has eyesight clear enough to read recipes on the tablet and maintain aesthetic standards, OR wears prescription corrective lenses or contacts while at work
Is able to hands in soapy water or disinfectant
Availability
Is available at minimum 2 bartending shifts + 1 “on call” shift every week
Is able to work 8 to 10-hour shifts, some of which can begin as early as 11 am and can end as late as 2 am
Has reliable transportation to and from work, including at late hours and weekends
Work Presence & Performance
Shows up and leaves at scheduled times and demonstrates good effort for their entire shift
Practices good hygiene, has fresh breath, and presents the best version of themselves in Q&R uniform when standing behind the bar
Fulfills drink orders with speed, accuracy, and aesthetic concern
Can keep cool under pressure, prioritize tasks on the fly, and “never let them see you sweat”
Will follow all standardized cocktail recipes as standardized in our proprietary recipes
Committed to responsible alcohol service and obeying all federal and Pennsylvania laws in this regard
Preference for familiarity with Square POS system
Can read and speak English, count American money accurately and add and subtract sums
Is open to constructive criticism and flexible about adjusting “their way” of doing things
Has enthusiasm for our mission, brand, and product, and can communicate that enthusiasm to guests in a myriad of modalities
Has a team focus and is willing to pitch in when necessary with non-bartending duties during rush times
Manages their station in a way that helps other staff do their jobs efficiently
Participates in daily and weekly restocking, inventory, and making juices and syrups as needed
Communicates necessary information for smooth bar operation in a timely manner with the other bartenders and bar manager verbally, on the inventory clipboard, and on the Slack channel
Performs all opening and closing tasks correctly and to completion
Proactive, innovative, and communicative about ways to improve bar operations on the macro- and micro-level
