Summary of Position:

Our company is seeking an accomplished Director of Sales. This role will oversee sales strategy and execution for multi unit restaurants, our soon-to-launch café and catering program, and a future flagship restaurant. The Director of Sales will be responsible for driving event and catering revenue, cultivating strong client relationships, and integrating our concepts into the local community through strategic partnerships and outreach initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Champion and uphold our culture, philosophies, and core values while fostering a sales-focused, hospitality-driven environment.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies designed to maximize event and catering revenue across all Virginia concepts.
  • Actively engage with the local community to establish partnerships and create meaningful connections that enhance brand visibility and drive new business.
  • Generate excitement around the main restaurant, the café and catering program, and the upcoming restaurant through strategic networking, outreach, and client engagement initiatives.
  • Prospect and secure new business while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat bookings and long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with culinary, operations, and marketing teams to ensure seamless alignment between sales commitments and guest experience.
  • Provide presence during key tastings, site visits, and high-profile events to ensure flawless execution and reinforce client confidence.
  • Ensure all events achieve maximum revenue potential while delivering outstanding hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Utilize CRM and event management platforms to manage a robust sales pipeline and track performance against defined revenue goals.
  • Represent the brand at industry, networking, and community events to strengthen the brand and expand the client base.
  • Partner with the General Manager to host quarterly tastings and community activations designed to attract new clients and showcase culinary and beverage innovation.

Weekly and Periodic Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update BEO menus to reflect seasonal offerings and client needs in support of revenue objectives.
  • Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including:
  • Achievement of sales targets each fiscal period.

    • New client acquisition benchmarks in both corporate and social markets.
    • Growth of community partnerships and local market engagement.
  • Attend weekly BEO and leadership meetings to ensure alignment between sales initiatives and operational execution.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support the guest experience, providing training and mentorship to ensure consistent service and sales performance.
  • Provide ongoing revenue forecasting and collaborate with executive leadership to adjust strategies in alignment with market trends and performance data.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in event and catering sales leadership, ideally within a multi-venue or hospitality group environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals consistently across fiscal periods.
  • Proven success integrating a hospitality brand into a local community and building a strong network of clients and partners.
  • Experience launching or expanding catering programs and sales initiatives in a competitive market.
  • Strong background in both B2B corporate sales and B2C private event sales.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in Toast, Canva, and Tripleseat.
  • Highly organized and professional, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on hospitality and service excellence.
