Position Summary
As a Line Cook at Chi-Shack, you’ll be responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items according to our recipes and quality standards. You’ll work closely with your teammates to keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy shifts while maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and speed of service.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items to Chi-Shack recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
Operate grills, fryers, ovens, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Set up, stock, and maintain your station before, during, and after service.
Keep kitchen areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.
Assist with prep work, portioning, and ingredient rotation (FIFO).
Communicate effectively with other cooks and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
Follow all health and sanitation guidelines, including ServSafe procedures.
Maintain a sense of urgency while staying calm and accurate during high-volume periods.
Qualifications
Prior line cook or kitchen experience preferred, but willing to train motivated candidates.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders at once.
Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation practices.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
