We’re a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant located in the heart of the Lower East Side, known for our vibrant atmosphere, exceptional service, and delicious food. We’re passionate about delivering an outstanding dining experience and are currently looking for a skilled Expeditor to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
As the Expeditor , you’ll be the crucial link between our kitchen and front-of-house team. You’ll ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen is accurate, timely, and beautifully presented, and up to the standards of the kitchen. This role requires sharp attention to detail, exceptional communication, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Some basic Spanish is required - the more the better.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the flow of orders from kitchen to service staff
Ensure food is properly garnished, plated, and delivered in a timely manner
Maintain constant communication with chefs and servers to ensure smooth service
Monitor ticket times and manage kitchen-to-floor workflow
Assist in quality control and ensure all dishes meet our presentation standards
Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the expediting area
Requirements:
Previous experience as an expeditor or in a fast-paced kitchen/restaurant environment
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Sense of urgency and attention to detail
Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
