Lakeview Village is a continuing care retirement community. We have an opening for a Lead Remodeler to work Full Time.
Lakeview's Lead Remodeler serves as a team leader in the renovation of apartments for new residents who are moving to Lakeview Village and residents who are relocating to a different area of campus. Maintain existing buildings at a standard that the residents at Lakeview Village have come to expect and deserve.

Proficient in the layout and framing of walls (wood & metal studs) Proficient in drywall hanging/finishing Proficient in window and door installation Proficient in electrical layout and wiring (lighting, running power, low voltage, etc.) Proficient in plumbing layout and installation (Pex, copper and finish plumbing) Proficient in painting and nail hole repairs, caulking etc. Proficient in design, layout and hanging of cabinetry Proficient in finishing of woodwork (sanding, staining, topcoat and finish) Proficient in trim carpentry work (doors, trim-including crown moulding) Responsible for leading, coaching, training and mentoring other employees. Identify and maintain par levels for each category of supplies based on approved remodels scheduled and ensure adequate supplies for remodeling projects in a manner that is timely, well organized and cost efficient as well as in good and safe working condition. Develop and maintain an ordering schedule, which minimizes delivery charges and drive time. Be alert to new products and suggest lower cost alternatives as appropriate. Assure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner for resident comfort and convenience. Assure that work/assignment areas are clean and free of equipment, supplies, etc. before leaving such areas. Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information. Handles stress well, gets along with others in the workplace, maintains acceptable standards of conduct. Adheres to all safety regulations and requirements. Completes trainings as required by policy. Supportive of Lakeview Village's vision, mission, and values. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
GED or High School Graduation preferred. A minimum of 7 years experience in this field or a similar field. Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly. Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Very Heavy Work - Exerting in excess of 100 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs of force frequently, and/or up to 20lbs of force constantly to move objects. The associate is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operating machines such as lathes, drill presses, power says and mills where the seeing job is at or within arm's reach; performing mechanical or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature. Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. May need to stoop/bend, kneel, crawl, reach, stand for sustained periods of time and walk long distances. May need to push, pull, lift with regular or repetitive motion. May need to pick up, pinch, type with fingers, grasp with fingers and palm. May need to feel attributes of an object such as size, shape, temperature or texture by touch with fingertips. Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly. Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, making discriminations in sound.
