A manufacturing facility in Stoughton is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support equipment uptime and reliability in a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing and repairing industrial mechanical and electrical systems, as well as performing routine preventative maintenance. Key Responsibilities
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on industrial machinery including conveyors, furnaces, presses, shears, and rolling systems Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems (up to 480V) including gearboxes, motors, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Install, align, or dismantle production equipment as needed Conduct fabrication work including basic welding, grinding, or machining of parts Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and part usage Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to support process improvements Follow all safety guidelines and Lockout/Tagout procedures Support off-shift or emergency maintenance situations as required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field preferred 35 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Strong understanding of mechanical systems, power transmission, pneumatics, and hydraulics Experience with basic electrical diagnostics and repairs (up to 480V) Proficient with hand tools, power tools, hoists, and diagnostic equipment Basic welding and fabrication skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and stand for long periods Familiar with industrial safety standards and PPE requirements Work Environment
Industrial plant setting with exposure to noise, heat, and heavy machinery Requires use of PPE (steel-toe boots, gloves, eye/ear protection, etc.) Tasks may include working at heights or in tight spaces Compensation & Benefits
