Lakehurst, NJ (On-Site/Office) Duties: You will plan, coordinate, manage and direct the development and implementation of test engineering process, software engineering policies, guidance and metrics for the Software/Systems Test Engineering Branch. You will develop and update NAWCAD policy, procedures, and programs to satisfy DoD and Navy Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment program requirements for system/software engineering. You will manage individual development and certification/qualification of others to standard job qualifications. You will develop metrics and track progress to ensure successful execution of test programs. You will compile technical engineering data to provide guidance and recommendations to all echelons of management regarding strategic goals, objectives and responsibilities of the organization. Requirements: Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Providing test engineering support to program managers for ALRE/SE programs and technical matters, ensuring DoD, Navy and NAWCAD policy is appropriately tailored and included in program and contractual documents and is considered in technical and programmatic decisions. Providing test engineering and software testing support of ALRE systems under development, acquisition, modification, and/or sustainment. Carrying out the full range of combined technical and administrative direction of others. Planning work and preparing performance plans covering work to be accomplished by subordinates, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work.
