Lead Credit Risk Officer
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Credit Risk Officer to become a member of the Risk Asset Review group within Corporate Risk. As a part of Wells Fargo's credit risk review function, Risk Asset Review, this role is responsible for assessing credit administration practices and adherence to interagency credit review guidelines through targeted and portfolio examination quality standards, ensuring relevant controls are followed and executed, and deficiencies are identified and addressed. This role will be specifically responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of consumer lending practices, such as credit administration, portfolio quality/trends, and adherence to the credit policy and risk appetite in the business. The role engages with business, independent risk management, and executive management to share the findings on a regular basis. In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as key participant in driving the company credit culture, desire, and business performance for Credit Risk Review and analyze complex strategies, programs, and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite and culture Receive direction from leaders Develop and utilize analysis capabilities to assist the commercial exam teams with examinations Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Interact with internal and external customers Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Previous experience with consumer credit risk strategy development and monitoring in financial service industry Previous experience with reviewing or underwriting consumer credits either in originations or loss mitigation Strong verbal and written communication skills, and advanced MS Office Suite product skills to include (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Word) MA/MS degree in quantitative discipline such as finance, economics, statistics, operations research Ability to gather, analyze, package, and present analytical findings in an insightful and logical manner Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and achieve goals in a dynamic environment Ability to provide credible challenge and candor to peers Posting Locations: 401 S Tryon Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 600 S 4th Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota 800 S Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines 401 Las Colinas Blvd W Bldg B, Irving, Texas 2700 S Price Road, Chandler, Arizona Job Expectations: Ability to work at one of the approved locations in the job posting This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship This position currently offers a hybrid schedule Pay Range(s) (US Only): Minneapolis, Minnesota | Pay Range: 139,000.00 - 217,000.00 USD Annual Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
