About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Credit Risk Officer as a part of Wells Fargo's credit risk review function. Risk Asset Review is responsible for reviewing actions, transaction reviews, documentation, processes and programs to ensure quality standards and requirements of interagency credit review guidelines are met, relevant controls are followed and executed, and deficiencies are identified and addressed. This role will independently assess the quality of credit review and oversight and ongoing management of credit risk within the Bank for commercial and consumer lending, including adherence to risk appetite, credit policy and regulation, follow governance and enterprise program requirements as applicable, and provide credible challenge to Risk Asset Review examination activities. In this role, you will: Conduct quality assurance reviews of completed Risk Asset Review credit examinations for both commercial and consumer loan portfolios Document reviews and issues thoroughly in timely reports summarizing results and supporting rationale Advise senior leadership to develop and implement strategies, programs, and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite Monitor, assess and report on asset quality, portfolio trends and credit policy exception trends Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals Collaborate with business for oversight of risk management Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure Risk Asset Review's adherence to applicable policies and procedures As part of Risk Asset Review's management team, function as a subject matter expert on credit and regulatory issues Required Qualifications: 7+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Commercial and/or consumer credit experience Experience evaluating moderate to complex commercial loans and/or large consumer portfolios for adherence to bank policy, regulatory guidance, and effective credit risk administration Knowledge of or background in OCC / FRB guidance pertaining to bank credit risk administration and credit review practices Posting Locations: 401 S.
