Second Shift Operator-Wire Drawing

Nesco Resource is looking for a Second Shift Operator-Wire Drawing located in Bethel, CT. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate. Shift: Monday-Friday 3:15PM-11:15PM Pay: $18-$22/Hour (12% differential for Second Shift) Job Overview

Seeking a highly skilled operator to perform key phases of high-precision tube and wire manufacturing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, tube and bar drawing, heat treating, precision cutting, and centerless grinding. Work must be performed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. The role involves assisting in scheduling production priorities, identifying equipment and process improvements, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate machines for maximum efficiency according to production schedules and quality standards. Maintain and adjust wire/tube processing equipment as needed. Operate multiple machines within an assigned work cell. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools such as pin gauges and laser micrometers, documenting findings as required. Monitor product and tooling for dimensional or shape changes and report observations. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and inspect drawing dies and tooling before and after use. Manage inventory of tools, fixtures, and consumables in the work area. Collaborate with logistics to meet on-time delivery, scrap reduction, and shipment goals. Collect and share data with engineering teams to improve processes and increase productivity. Ensure all production documentation complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Enforce line clearance procedures and track work order status. Enter and maintain work orders in an electronic ERP system. Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisory staff. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical school or college degree preferred. 25 years of relevant manufacturing experience. Proficiency with Windows-based applications, including Excel and Word. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret work instructions, routers, and specifications. Strong communication skills to interact with operators, management, and auditors. Ability to read and understand English; Spanish language skills a plus.
