Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics & Trade Compliance Specialist to manage the end-to-end logistics operations for seat shipsets and large-volume aerospace products. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of international trade regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) codes, import/export compliance, and duty drawback procedures. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods while maintaining strict adherence to U.S. and international trade laws.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Coordination Manage the transportation and delivery of seat shipsets and large-volume aerospace components, both domestically and internationally. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping. Oversee daily inbound and outbound shipment schedules and resolve any delays or discrepancies. Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records using ERP and logistics tracking systems. Import/Export & Trade Compliance

Classify products accurately using HTS codes and ensure documentation meets Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements. Prepare and maintain documentation for international shipments including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. Ensure compliance with all export regulations (EAR, ITAR, etc.) and company export compliance procedures. Monitor and interpret updates to trade compliance laws and regulations, communicating relevant changes to internal teams. Duty Drawback & Cost Recovery

Administer duty drawback processes in coordination with internal finance and customs broker teams. Ensure all eligible imports and exports are documented and filed for duty recovery. Maintain compliance with U.S. Customs requirements for drawback claims. Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain within a manufacturing or aerospace environment. Proven expertise in HTS classification, import/export regulations, and trade compliance. Experience managing large-volume shipments, international logistics, and working with freight forwarders. Technical Skills

Strong ERP and logistics management system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. Familiarity with U.S. CBP Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) a plus. Certifications

(preferred but not required)

U.S. Customs Broker License CUSECO, CTPAT training, or similar compliance certifications Competency & Reasoning Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and prioritize effectively. Flexible and dependable for on-call logistics issues. Work Environment

This role is mainly situated in a standard office setting where noise levels are low, this role may require time spent in manufacturing areas which have varying degrees of noise levels. Physical expectations include:

Ability to sit and work at computer for extended periods Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds Availability for after-hours support during travel or emergencies Flexibility to work across international time zones as needed Work schedule follows standard business hours M-F with occasional on-call needs depending on shipment schedules and issues.
