Halcyon is the industry's first dedicated, adaptive security platform that combines multiple proprietary advanced prevention engines along with AI models focused specifically on stopping ransomware. We are focused on delivering innovative products and solutions for mid-market and enterprise customers. Halcyon is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative (BDR), Federal to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities in the Federal segment, building relationships with prospective clients, and generating leads within the cybersecurity and ransomware protection space. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a proactive approach to sales and a passion for the cybersecurity industry. Responsibilities: Lead Generation: Prospect, identify, and qualify potential customers through inbound and outbound prospectingcalls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach. Client Engagement: Connect with decision-makers in target Civilian and Federal agencies to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and pain points, particularly related to ransomware threats. Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support and execute lead generation strategies, campaigns, and outreach. Pipeline Management: Maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects and manage lead data within our CRM system. Educate & Qualify: Share relevant information on Halcyon's ransomware protection solutions and qualify leads for potential fit. Nurturing: Follow up with leads to ensure consistent engagement until they are ready for deeper discussions with an Account Executive. Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to effectively communicate value. Requirements: 13 years of experience in a sales development or business development role, preferably in cybersecurity or technology. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, especially ransomware threats, is a plus. Experience with CRM and sales systems (e.g., Salesforce, Salesloft, Nooks, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, GovNav, GovWin, Gong). Self-starter who thrives working independently and in a team environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs. Base Salary Range: $50,000$70,000 In accordance with applicable state and federal laws, this range is Halcyon's reasonable estimate of base compensation for this role. The actual amount may vary based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation package, which may also include discretionary bonuses/incentives and equity.
