POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Customer Service Representative supports the Sales team in meeting growth goals by corresponding with customers, order entry, and facilitating orders. The Customer Service Representative ensures the successful completion of the order process for a specific group of customers. The Customer Service Representative will also help resolve customer service issues and questions in a timely and professional manner to enhance customer satisfaction.
JOB DUTIES: Effectively uses Express Seed's internal systems for order entry, revisions, cancellations, and confirmations Communicate with internal & external customers via phone, e-mail, fax, and in person Create and update B2B sales orders for customers and suppliers Maintain filing systems for PODs, both electronic and physical Assist with sales and customer calls when needed and respond with the appropriate course of action or resolution Tracking and tracing of customer shipments Work effectively across departmental and organizational boundaries to align, organize, monitor, and communicate information regarding their orders. Answered inquiries regarding order status availability, and pricing, relaying information to customers, sales team, or other internal team members. Assist in keeping Excel databases updated, adding all information needed for accessing customer contact information Manage multiple key accounts daily, ensuring all orders or concerns are handled promptly Run weekly backorder reports and open order reports All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or a minimum of two years of experience in Customer Service Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Excel and Word Microsoft NAV, Peoplesoft, and/or ERP system experience a plus Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Must be a self-starter, energetic, and results-oriented Strong quantitative and analytical skills required Ability to type and use the ten-key or numeric keypad Ability to handle multiple and diverse tasks under deadline pressure Effective verbal and writing skills Possess a strong work ethic and team player mentality Ability to work with all levels of employees and management PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS:
Climate-controlled office or home office environment Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking Frequently requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, and handling Occasionally requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting (up to 20lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching Rarely requires climbing
