Responsibilities and duties include: Identify continuous improvement opportunities throughout the tactical level by routinely studying the GEMBA, reviewing site metrics, gathering Voice of the Customer data, etc. Plan, schedule, and execute the projects in the Lean funnel to drive improvements through the hierarchy of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC), and Productivity. Promote a performance mindset at the Gemba level through Lean events, standardization, and simplification initiatives. Run Lean events/workshops identified through Value Stream Maps. Ensure and facilitate productive problem-solving (A3) & Kaizen events, as well as coaching the teams to employ the appropriate tool for the problem to solve. Support the functional leadership in the execution of a Lean project's roadmap. Facilitate, document, and audit Kaizen Events from the preparation through sustainment, responsible for Lean savings budget and forecasting per project. Provide facility-wide training as required to maintain a culture of continuous improvement with emphasis on the main Lean tools (VSM, A3, 5S, Visual Management, SMED, etc.) Maintain tracking metrics & communications. Support the execution of the Action Plans and escalate issues promptly. Be a part of the Lean Enterprise community, actively contributing to the advancement of the Lean culture in the organization: "Lean-ing" the Lean. Benchmark and incorporate best practices. Required skills include: Teamworkmust be able to lead a team(s) of Azek employees from multiple disciplines and/or companies during the Lean events. Ability to influence othersmust be able to inform, convince, and persuade others to action on key initiatives. Results orientationmust deliver results and track sustainment. Technical excellencemust possess the technical skills necessary to be seen as credible in Azek by peers and Azek leaders. Communicationmust be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms. Able to discuss differences openly and influence others. Lean SkillsGreen or Black belt trained. A working knowledge of Lean Principles and the ability to train others. Able to facilitate groupsMeetings/Training/Workshop setting. SoftwareComfortable using Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint. Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Proven experience (3+ years) leading in Continuous Improvement both as team leader and facilitator. There must be evidence of both Transactional and manufacturing-based events. Proficient in Lean principles, methodologies, and tools such as A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, etc. Proven experience (3+ years) in supporting operations improvements such as defining proper layouts, implementing continuous flow, and running cost reduction projects. Proficient in Six Sigma process improvement methodologies. Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt. Facilitated Kaizen workshops and/or Six Sigma projects. Hands-on experience implementing continuous improvement principles in a line management role. Must be a results-oriented change agent, a skilled facilitator adept at influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Able to work under deadlines and handle multiple and detail-oriented tasks. Familiarity with various manufacturing process technologies. This position will require 15% annual travel to support continuous improvement initiatives at other business units. Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $105,000 to $115,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
