Starlite Recovery Center has been treating individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) for over 67 years. Starlite Recovery Center is located in the Hill Country, approximately 20 minutes southeast of Kerrville, and approximately 30 minutes northwest of Boerne, Texas. We are looking for a full-time Admissions Coordinator to join our team at our Kerrville location! For over 67 years, Starlite Recovery Center has been providing adult and adolescent clients in the heart of the Hill Country in Center Point, Texas, with caring and highly effective drug rehab for substance abuse, alcohol addiction, and co-occurring issues. Starlite Recovery Center is part of the Acadia Healthcare system, a provider of addiction, behavioral and mental health treatment facilities in the United States and Puerto Rico. Join a team with defined career paths and a national family of hospitals and facilities as part of the Acadia Healthcare family SCHEDULE: Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm PURPOSE STATEMENT: Primarily responsible for the admission and/or registration of patients into the facility and maintaining communication between the organization and the patient referrals and family. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the admission and/or registration of patients into the facility and maintaining communication between the facility and the patient referrals and family. Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures. Schedule assessments. Conduct pre-admission assessments. Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment. Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when not appropriate for facility assistance or admission. Coordinate with referral sources. Responsible for maintaining all the documentation involved with the admissions process. Responsible for all reports related to admissions and ensuring databases and EMR are updated appropriately. Coordinate transportation of clients (arrivals, discharges, appointments, etc...). EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent required with college degree preferred. One-year experience in healthcare admissions, preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field. LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). First aid may be required based on state or facility.
