Senior CNC & Manual Machinist
Gas Turbine Components

$20/hr.
for a
12-month contract
with
potential renewal . In this role, youll use your advanced machining skills to program, set up, and operate CNC and manual equipment for the precision repair and fabrication of gas turbine components. Youll work from OEM drawings, apply GD&T principles, and make fine adjustments to meet exacting tolerancessupporting both Aero and machine shop operations in a safety-first environment.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm (Saturday & Sunday OT as needed)
Responsibilities: Promote a strong safety culture and safe-to-start mindset. Align gas components and parts within tight tolerances for machining, grinding, and runout corrections. Program CNC lathes, VTLs, and milling machines. Read and interpret OEM drawings, REIs, work instructions, and digital routers. Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and basic algebra/geometry. Calculate and set machining factors (speed, feed, coolant flow, depth/angle of cut) or enter/edit CNC programs. Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments. Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, accessories, and materials. Support both CNC and manual machining operations.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. 10+ years related experience or equivalent education/experience. Advanced skills in CNC mill, CNC lathe, manual mill, manual lathe, and VTL operations. Experience with gas turbine repair (HSPT, GE10's, Fr3, Fr5, Fr6, F7) preferred. Ability to work across Aero and machine shop operations.
