Role Overview

The Sr. Human Resource Generalist is responsible for assisting to run the daily functions of the HR department. The Sr. HR Generalist will partner with the HR Manager, employees, managers, and outside parties to ensure all hiring, payroll, benefits, training and development actions are managed in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process for both hourly and salaried positions. Manages staffing activities of direct and temp employees through recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization. Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements, contacting recruiters, and using social media, newsgroups and job sites. Assists with the interview process by coordinating, attending and/or conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders. Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies. Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport. Prepares new hires by establishing and conducting orientation and training Partner with managers to identify future staffing needs Respond to human resources related inquiries Responsible for weekly payroll related activities Coordinates and tracks training in critical areas such as disciplinary processes, conflict management, performance review, and sexual harassment etc. Tracks strategic HR KPI's such as headcount, absenteeism and turnover and recommends actions to improve the KPI's Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements Works closely with operations, QEH&S, and site managers to ensure a safe and secure workplace. Ensures related policies and procedures are up-to-date and relevant Through engagement activities promote employee relations, collaboration, and inclusiveness Monitor employee morale and company culture Other duties may be assigned.. Qualifications

Required:

Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field including recruitment of exempt and non-exempt roles and payroll. Detail oriented Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Advanced proficiency with MS Office Advanced communication and listening skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Well-developed team building and conflict resolution skills. Organizational skills for storing and accessing different types of information daily Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of staff and management. Ability to demonstrate role model behavior and willingness to promote company's culture policies and values. High level of discretion and professionalism Preferred:

Minimum of 5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plus Physical Requirements
