Job Summary: The Senior Business SME will support the rollout and stabilization of PRISM, a Workday-based HRMS designed to Pay, Recruit, Inform, and Support Maine employees. Serving as a critical liaison between technical teams and end users, this role provides real-time, cross-functional support-both virtually and onsite-to state employees navigating the system during and after launch. The SME role is flexible and may involve intermittent assignments across various state agencies according to business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct user support for PRISM system workflows via remote or in-person sessions Coordinate and schedule support activities with agency staff Lead interactive walkthroughs of PRISM processes, data entry, and reconciliation Troubleshoot software issues and escalate systemic concerns efficiently Document session details, track unresolved items, and follow up for resolution Support user adoption by collaborating with cross-functional teams Required Experience:

Expertise in HRMS-Workday experience strongly preferred Prior experience in Business Analyst, Help Desk Analyst, or enterprise system support roles Familiarity with HR, payroll, or state government systems is a plus Nice-to-Have Experience:

Support during large-scale system implementations or transitions Experience in the public sector/non-standard employee schedules Participation in the creation of training materials, FAQs, or user guides Key Skills:

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong organizational skills to manage multiple support issues Effective communication and user training capability Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and virtual collaboration tools (Teams) Preferred Skills:

Ability to simplify technical workflows for non-technical audiences Flexibility to travel to Augusta, ME for onsite support Positive, responsive customer service mindset Benefits:
