Job Summary
The Batching Lead is responsible for ensuring that product batching is staged with correct ingredients and blending of batches is accurate and timely. This position will support the production team in guiding hourly team members to achieve daily safety, delivery, productivity, quality, cost and culture goals.
Essential Functions
Coordinating with Production Supervisors and Inventory team activities including:
Production schedule review Raw material planning and batching activities Sanitation activities Shift closing and handover activities
Ensuring production downtime due to batching delays is minimized Coordination with other Batching Lead to ensure shift handovers are effective Providing direction for the safety of the workplace by ensuring the batching work areas are maintained clean, safe and organized Protection of company equipment resources through the enforcement of good manufacturing practices Providing training and coaching to team members to meet performance standards Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for food safety, delivery / productivity, quality, cost, and culture Optimize plant operations to meet safety, delivery / productivity, quality, cost, and culture goals Perform other duties as required Experience and Education Requirements

Anticipate needs and responds to situations proactively High School diploma or an equivalent 3- 5 years of experience working in a high-speed food/beverage manufacturing environment 2+ years of Mixing/Blending experience in high-speed manufacturing Strong working knowledge of essential food safety practices and principles 1+ year of experience working with a CRM system, preferably Plex software Proficient in executing proper sanitation procedures Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and temperatures will fluctuate from hot to cold depending on outside temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Frequently tastes finished products including those with allergens, kosher and non-kosher products. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, balance, twist, stoop kneel and reach with hands/arms. Frequently lifts 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds. Occasionally walks, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within office building.
