HRIS Manager
The HRIS Manager is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the HR technology ecosystem and managing a team of three HRIS Analysts. This role drives operational excellence, leads cross-functional initiatives, and ensures the effective use of Workday and other HR systems to support business goals. The HRIS Manager partners closely with HR and IT stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions. The HRIS Manager's team is responsible for: Integrations:
Managing and optimizing data flows between Workday and other systems. Reports:
Creating and maintaining dashboards and analytics for HR and business leaders. Break/Fix:
Troubleshooting and resolving system issues. Tier 2 Tickets:
Handling escalated support requests and ensuring timely resolution. Enhancements:
Implementing new features and improvements. Security:
Managing user roles, permissions, and data protection. Releases:
Coordinating Workday updates and testing. Business Process Improvements:
Streamlining workflows and increasing system efficiency. Position Location:
This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of our headquarters in Deerfield, IL, with in-office presence expected at least 3 days per week (typically TuesdayThursday). In mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, offering vibrant collaborative workspaces, onsite daycare, dining, fitness amenities, and more. Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a team of HRIS Analysts, fostering growth and accountability. Oversee Workday system operations including integrations, reporting, and support. Partner with HR and business leaders to align technology with strategic goals. Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across HR systems. Manage Workday configurations, releases, and business process improvements. Manage maintenance of master data values in Workday (ex: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, Locations) Drive system enhancements and continuous optimization initiatives. Serve as escalation point for Tier 2 tickets and break/fix issues. Maintain documentation and support training needs across the team. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless HRIS operations and stakeholder satisfaction. Provide consultation to VP of HR Ops & Dir of HR Tech, Business Partners and HR COEs, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred. 7+ years of progressive HRIS experience, including team leadership and deep expertise in Workday. Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence senior stakeholders. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in data governance, system optimization, and change management. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems. Commitment to confidentiality and data security. Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $90,000 USD - $143,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
