The Director of Operations provides high-level support for the management, planning, and administration of projects, programs, and initiatives under the purview of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Director is responsible for developing project plans and mechanisms to track progress and ensure accountability and compliance, drafting detailed policy and procedure documents, preparing extensive reports and briefings, creating websites and communications, generating meeting and presentation materials, conducting research and literature reviews, developing forms and surveys, performing data analysis, editing and refining content prepared by others, working on the planning and management of high-profile events, and carrying out a variety of other special projects and complex tasks as assigned. The Director contributes to the mission of the Office of the Executive Vice President and Provost by performing a broad array of complex administrative activities and providing comprehensive support for the office's short- and long-term priorities. The primary focus of the individual in this role will be to produce sophisticated written documentation and other work products for the benefit of the Provost's office. This position requires a flexible mindset and skills set along with a willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities in order to fulfill the aims of the Provost's office. This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and at least 5 years of administrative or project management work experience in a complex professional setting. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and logistical precision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications
