Job Classification: Marketing and Communications, Student Department: Career Center Hiring Manager: Tisha Brown Contact: tisha_brown@baylor.edu Work Schedule: 10 hours per week Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Ongoing Pay Rate: $10.00 Job Description: The PR/Marketing Intern will assist with all marketing and creative needs of the Career Center through planning, executing, and collaborating with the Communications and Media Manager. The PR/Marketing Intern will be responsible for writing compelling copy, creating graphics, capturing, editing, and delivering photos and videos to support the Career Center print and digital marketing materials. This position will work with other Marketing Interns and directly report to the Career Center Communications and Media Manager. Work with the Marketing Intern Team to promote Career Center programs, services, and special events. Assist with maintaining a consistent identity of the Career Center by following the departmental brand guidelines while meeting University's marketing requirements. Support marketing campaign planning and execution. Write/create social media posts and other marketing collateral. Capture engaging photos and/or videos to support the creative process of marketing content for all Career Center programs, services, and special events. Assist in the creation of written, video, and image content for marketing channels. Measure and report the results of marketing initiatives. Assist with scheduling content to be published on social media at ideal times. Assist with monitoring the social media channels and activities. Assist with managing the Career Center social media content calendar. Assist with curating social media content for events, stand-alone campaigns, and other projects. Other duties as assigned. Proficient in public relations and marketing principles, understanding social media trends and tracking, photography/videography techniques, including lighting, audio/video editing. Ability to provide finished photos and videos for social media and/or website. Responsibilities: Provide marketing and communications support to assigned area of responsibility Assist with various projects, activities or tasks related to marketing and communications Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively Ability to comply with University policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance Employer: Baylor University Work Location: Sid Richardson Career Center Suite
