Machine Operator
This position is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient operation of process and packaging equipment, ensuring the production of safe, high-quality food for human consumption. This role also involves mixing and cooking candy recipes. Responsibilities
Safely operate process and packaging equipment from start-up to shut-down. Change programs and parameters in chocolate tempering machines, depositors, enrobers, and other related machines. Assemble pipes, pumps, and kettle parts for cooking and mixing candy recipes using common hand tools. Follow recipes to weigh ingredients, mix, and cook, while measuring temperature, viscosity, and brix. Utilize PPE for various tasks related to cooking and equipment operation. Run both manual and computer-controlled machines, performing set-ups and changeovers based on daily production needs. Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine operation. Understanding of GMP in food production. Capability to lift over 50 pounds. Proficiency in fractions and following ingredient lists. Work Environment
The facility operates under GMP regulations and is dedicated to producing chocolate-covered nuts, candies, and more for various retailers. Employees work in a temperature-controlled environment ranging from 67 to 85 degrees. First shift hours are from 6 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $43680.00/yr. -Direct Hire-$18-$22 an hour-Full Benfits (Ask for a copy)-4 day work week M-Th-Raise after 6 months ($1.00-$2.00) dollars-Shift Premium: 2nd shift: $2.00 dollars/hr-Stability within Food Industry -Climate controlled at 69-70 degrees year round due to chocolate Workplace Type
