Located on the Community Regional campus, Burnett Extended Care Center is our brand-new 154-bed transitional care facility. Purpose-built to serve patients transitioning from hospital to home, Burnett features specialized rehabilitation spaces
dedicated gym spaces with the latest technology, a complete simulated home-like environment, and innovative therapy programs
all designed to help patients regain independence and quality of life in a post-acute setting. Perform occupational therapy examinations, evaluations, and treatments to support functional recovery and patient independence through evidence-based research. Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, discharge planning, and the coordination of patient care. Provide developmentally and culturally appropriate education to meet the needs of patients and their families. Supervise occupational therapy assistants, rehab therapy aides, and student clinical education experiences to support team development and clinical excellence. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required 2 years of experience required Licenses and Certifications OT- State of California Occupational Therapist License required BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required Disclaimers
