About the Role
We're seeking a Design Manager to lead and execute high-quality interior fit-out projects across our dynamic portfolio of buildings in South Florida. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design and execution, with strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering spaces that meet brand, budget, and schedule goals.
Responsibilities: Project Leadership:
Manage multiple interior fit-out projects from design through construction, ensuring quality, design integrity, and operational readiness. Design Oversight:
Collaborate with internal design teams, consultants, and contractors to manage the design development process, ensuring alignment with the project's vision and goals. Budget Management:
Develop and maintain project budgets and drive value engineering solutions without compromising design quality. Scheduling:
Create and maintain project schedules, coordinate milestones, and manage the project team to ensure on-time delivery. Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the central point of contact across cross-functional teams including internal leadership, design, construction, procurement, and operations. Construction Administration:
Oversee construction progress, manage RFIs and submittals, conduct site visits, and ensure fit-out work meets quality standards and codes. Procurement Support:
Work with procurement teams on FF&E packages and long-lead items to ensure seamless integration with construction timelines. Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies. Ideal Background:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field. 7+ years of experience managing interior fit-out projects, preferably in hospitality, multi-family, or commercial real estate. Proven experience leading all phases of design and construction for interior projects. Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methodologies, and project delivery methods. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and project management software Licensed Architect or PMP certification is a plus. Experience with design-forward, branded environments preferred. Familiarity with South Florida building codes and permitting processes highly preferred.
