Required Education
• In-process or a completed Undergraduate Degree in engineering
Preferred Education • Will consider an engineering-related Associate's degree.
Required Skills: • CAD experience desired,
Required Experience: • Work under specific directions to mainly inspect injection molded parts using 8x-200x magnification, create and label digital images (Keyence system), document inspection findings, organize presentations (PowerPoint), summarize observations (Word/Excel), analyze test data, and generally support the medical device test lab needs • Would help develop acceptance and reject specifications for defects, and other similar tasks • The work is on proprietary devices and components under development, and our marketed products are being supported by R&D.
Job Description: • Need an analytical type person with the temperament and manual dexterity to microscopically inspect tiny plastic parts for hours per day, looking for known and unknown deviations from the intended shape, color, and surface finish • Need ability to be flexible- stop one task and start another if need arises - ability to handle multiple work assignments and balance time spent on each to meet the communicated work priorities • Must have a desire to investigate, analyze, discover, and work with some level of ambiguity at times • Must also have good documentation skills and an ability to summarize a day's activities in a few sentences • The workday will also include some routine and mundane tasks such as stocking supplies, numbering samples, counting samples, etc • Work will be with other Lab personnel and sometimes solitary, as work demands determine • Candidate would enjoy a relaxed, but serious R&D environment (breaks and lunch times flexible, etc.).
