Senior Accountant
We are seeking a senior accountant who thrives in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role requiring deep analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a strong understanding of GAAP principles. The ideal candidate can operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally to support SafeRide's mission of improving access to care for vulnerable populations. Key Responsibilities
Lead monthly accounting close procedures including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting in accordance with GAAP Manage and reconcile monthly customer billing and payments Oversee prepaid expense schedules and prepare monthly amortization entries Record and reconcile corporate credit card activity Support billing process reconciliation between SafeRide's front-end system and vendor payments Prepare and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations and workpapers Assist in annual external financial audits Assist in periodic state and health plan audits Help maintain accounting policies and internal controls Support ad hoc accounting projects and cross-functional initiatives Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) Deep understanding of GAAP and accounting fundamentals Preferred Qualifications
CPA designation Experience with Sage Intacct and Quicksight Experience working with Medicare/Medicaid billing and reconciliation Strong data orientation and a growth mindset Benefits
