As our General Ledger (GL) Accountant, you are responsible for financial reconciliations, including bank statements, prepaids, accruals, intercompany transactions, and Concur reconciliations while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. This role prepares G/L account reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end processes, and assisting with audit preparations. Our ideal candidate is a detail-driven accounting professional with strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and experience managing reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes. We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented setting, balancing multiple priorities while delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. DAY-TO-DAY: Reconcile all company bank statements with company records on a monthly basis to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy in financial transactions. Record journal entries as needed. Investigate and resolve any variances or inconsistencies in a timely manner. Maintain detailed documentation of reconciliations and financial adjustments. Manage prepaid account ensuring accurate recording and allocation of expenses including insurance and property tax payments. Monitor amortization schedules and reconcile prepaid balances with actual expenses incurred. Collaborate with relevant departments to accurately capture prepaid expenses in financial reports. Record and manage accruals to ensure expenses are recognized in the appropriate accounting period. Analyze and validate accrued expenses to reflect accurate financial statements. Work closely with the finance team to adjust accruals as necessary during month-end and year-end procedures. Record and manage intercompany journal entries and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis. Reconcile monthly expense reports from Concur with billings, including personal charges and intercompany purchases. Assist Sr Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager with required entries and analysis to meet regular reporting deadlines. Prepare assigned G/L account reconciliation and journal entries. Participate in monthly financial closing, including variance analysis. Assist in preparation for GAAP audit. WE'D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with Excel, including familiarity with VLOOKUPs, pivot table development, etc. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records. High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
