Accounts Payable
The Senior Accountant
Accounts Payable will oversee and manage all accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, compliance with policies, and supporting financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health of the organization and works closely with internal teams and external vendors. Key Responsibilities: Process, review, and verify invoices and expense reports for accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. Manage vendor relationships and resolve invoice discrepancies. Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers to the general ledger. Prepare and process payments, including electronic payments and check runs. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. Support internal and external audit processes, including preparing schedules and responding to inquiries. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Collaborate with other accounting staff and departments to improve processes and ensure compliance. Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite for accounting and reporting functions. Provide support for other accounting functions as needed, including accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. Assist with other accounting and finance duties as assigned. Requirements: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with strong accounts payable knowledge. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in or with an audit firm is a plus. Familiarity with Microsoft Access. Healthcare industry or FQHC experience preferred but not required.
