As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help prevent potential issues, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with the public and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTime: Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities: Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor for suspicious behavior and/or security-related hazards, reporting findings as required by site protocols. Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while upholding site-specific rules and regulations. Assist law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies. Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and site procedures. What We're Looking For: Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Handcuffing certification is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. A valid Guard Card or license is preferred. Baton certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
