We are seeking a Strategic Financial Analyst to supervise financial analysis and reporting within UT Southwestern's Managed Care Contracting Department. This role will support strategic pricing, contract modeling, and performance reporting across faculty departments and facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, healthcare finance experience, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive data-informed decision-making. Location: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex or be willing to relocate. Required: Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Experience:
5 years of experience in a healthcare organization in contracting, financial analysis, management, or planning
Preferred: Education:
Master's degree
Experience:
7 years of experience, including use of EPSi Cost Accounting System or other commercial facility contract modeling tools
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Managed Care leaders, SWHR, and UTSW departments on financial analysis, contract modeling, and reporting
Support strategic pricing strategies using pricing transparency data
Develop multi-year contract performance yield projections for payor contracts
Provide hospital and physician compensation expertise across all payor segments
Design and implement management performance reports that align with existing dashboards and tools
Conduct strategic financial analysis of payor products and business proposals
Analyze product, payor, and market trends affecting UTSW's profitability
Model reimbursement scenarios for new product lines and services
Coordinate with Revenue Cycle and Cost Accounting teams to ensure reporting accuracy and performance optimization
Advise department leaders on process improvement opportunities and support implementation
Perform other duties as assigned
