Markel's Programs and Solutions area is seeking a Director to oversee and manage our Markel PolicyCenter implementation for the Personal Lines business unit. This role will oversee multiple product delivery workstreams in a fast-paced implementation environment. The ideal candidate will ensure delivery excellence and continuous improvement while leading multiple cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities: Provide deep knowledge of Guidewire Core applications (ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter) Guiding and mentoring project delivery teams to ensure successful alignment, execution, and outcomes across multiple workstreams Ensure the quality of delivered product through oversight and engagement with IT, business partners, and System Integrators Collaborate closely with product management, enterprise architecture, and other key stakeholders to align execution plans with overall business needs and roadmaps Oversight and development of any risk mitigation plans to ensure successful implementations Facilitate and support internal and external change management plans Facilitate and support the documentation of key internal audit controls over the course of project execution Manage and support software delivery release processes with a keen eye towards speed to market and quality Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence within delivery teams Required qualifications: Extensive experience (10+ years) in delivering varying solutions across the Guidewire suite (Policy, Claims, Billing) of products Proven knowledge and expertise with Guidewire Product Designer, Product Model development, Guidewire Rating, Contact Manager, and other critical Guidewire components Experience with wide range of integration patterns to support third party data, backend reporting, and process optimization Experience of the interworking's and deliver on Guidewire SaaS offering Experience in Agile delivery methodologies and tools (ie; Jira, Confluence) Proven hands-on leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams with a mix of vendor partners and internal talent. Solid understanding of complete insurance lifecycle for both admitted and non-admitted product offerings Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and communication skills. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple teams (IT and business) and geographies. Preferred skills: Experience working in regulated industries (Insurance and/or Financial Services) Familiarity with agile delivery methodologies and value-stream based organization structures US work authorization required.
