$103,650.00/yr - $133,559.00/yr Government of the District of Columbia Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) Payroll Applications Manager $103,650.00 - $133,559.00 The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) whose mission is to enhance the fiscal and financial stability, accountability and integrity of the Government of the District of Columbia is in search of a
Payroll Applications Manager.
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Financial and Operations Systems (OFOS), Office of Pay and Retirement Services (OPRS), Payroll Applications and Security Unit. The incumbent serves as the liaison between OPRS, District Human Resources, Information Technology Offices, and District Agency Managers for OPRS payroll operational and process improvements. Duties include, but are not limited to: Supporting payroll business operations day to day as a "business help desk" to provide advisory services on using PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM). Maintaining configuration of PeopleSoft HCM; accessing data and utilizing tools to produce reports, queries, and letters. Ensuring that all change request and implementation activities comply with established processes; and developing OPRS operational and financial policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:
Five (5) years of progressive work experience performing related duties and responsibilities such as: providing help desk or payroll support services to an organization; analyzing, developing, and recommending operational and process improvements in payroll systems; identifying, investigating, and troubleshooting system errors to help remediate and/or report system failures; and utilizing tools to access data and produce reports. Incumbent
must
have experience working with Peoplesoft HCM or similar automated payroll/human capital system and knowledge of various pay legislation. In addition, the incumbent
must
have at least one (1) year of work experience supervising or guiding and directing the work of lower-level staff.
