We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Senior Software Engineer
to join our team. This position is based in the DFW area, within a small, established team that fosters collaboration and innovation. If you are passionate about software engineering and interested in working on industry-leading sensor simulation products, we would love to hear from you. Must be eligible to obtain a US Security Clearance.
The primary workplace for this position is Aechelon Technology’s Farmer's Branch, TX location.
United States citizenship is required due to restrictions on access to certain data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Developing and maintaining application-level software that simulates airborne radar systems and sensors for training devices, primarily using C++ on Windows and Linux.
Performing tasks related to software design, implementation, documentation, team collaboration, customer interaction, integration, testing, and task planning.
Experience Required:
5+ years of software development experience in C/C++.
Strong understanding of real-time application programming.
Expertise in cross-platform development (Windows & Linux).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Solid foundation in mathematics and physics.
Ability to work with export-controlled technology.
Desired Competencies:
Technical Expertise:
Knowledge of radar technology and signal processing.
Experience with OpenGL and graphics programming.
Background in real-time, multi-processing systems.
Familiarity with geographic data processing tools (e.g., KML, satellite imagery).
Development Tools & Practices:
Experience with defect tracking systems (Bugzilla, Jira).
Proficiency with version control (Perforce, Git).
Ability to produce clear technical documentation.
Industry Experience:
Experience in the training and simulation industry preferred.
Adaptability to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
