Job Summary The Mechanical Engineering Manager leads a team of R&D professionals responsible for design, development, and quality of operating room equipment. The role involves program planning, resource allocation, and applying comprehensive mechanical engineering knowledge. The manager will inspire, develop, and motivate the team to meet organizational goals, exercising independent judgment on diverse projects. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and align the engineering team with organizational goals. Manage the team through planning, delegation, training, and performance review. Review product designs for compliance with DFM/DFA principles, quality, regulatory standards, and customer requirements. Evaluate and approve design changes and specifications. Collaborate on mechanical engineering activities with stakeholders. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to meet department goals. Support change management for new methods and procedures. Create a work environment fostering purpose, engagement, and accountability. Develop and monitor professional development plans for team members. Develop mechanical components and assemblies to meet cost, manufacturability, and reliability targets. Communicate proactively in a multicultural environment. Mentor employees, providing constructive feedback and development opportunities. Act as a lead mechanical engineer when required, designing operating room equipment components and systems. Work with HR on employee relations activities. Align with Mizuho OSI’s business objectives and uphold quality and regulatory policies. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least 10 years of product design experience and 3 years of supervisory responsibility. Experience with electro-mechanical motion control, structural analysis, and system integration in regulated industries. Proven leadership, motivation, and development skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to think strategically and tactically, managing multiple priorities calmly. Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. Note:

This description does not limit duties; employees may be assigned other related tasks as needed. Salary range: $154,000 - $202,000 DOE + bonus + benefits.
