The Director of Venue Sales is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue and optimizing sales performance across several venues. This role involves overseeing the sales operations for multiple properties, managing a diverse team of direct reports, and implementing strategies to maximize venue utilization and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, sales acumen, and a comprehensive understanding of the event industry. Key Responsibilities: Execute a unified sales strategy for multiple venues to achieve revenue and growth targets. Lead and develop a high-achieving sales team that scales with the organization’s growth. Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance evaluations to the team, including weekly/monthly 1:1 meetings and quarterly training sessions. Foster collaboration and share best practices across the sales teams of each property to ensure consistent, high-quality service. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including corporate clients, event planners, and strategic partnerships. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive repeat business and loyalty. Oversee the preparation and negotiation of sales proposals, contracts, and agreements for each venue. Analyze sales performance data, market trends, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and adjustments. Work with the leadership team to establish annual sales goals, ensure understanding and implementation, and maintain documentation of achievements. Develop the annual budget for the venue sales department in collaboration with leadership, ensuring cost efficiency and revenue targets. Collaborate with marketing to develop and implement targeted promotional campaigns and initiatives. Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. Seniority level
