Nova is looking for a

Senior Application Engineer

who is a highly technical, motivated individual to support our growth in the semiconductor industry. The Application Engineer will engage with Nova customers to develop high-value, innovative optical metrology applications in semiconductor manufacturing, apply robust statistical techniques to optimize applications for high-volume manufacturing (HVM) environments, and provide regional support for new product introduction and evaluation activities (beta, head-to-head).

Pay Range: $115,000 - $150,000 Annually (DOE)

Responsibilities What will you do as a Senior Application Engineer?

Innovate and Inspire : Develop cutting-edge customer solutions that highlight the capabilities of next-generation metrology products.

Collaborative Genius : Work with top-tier algorithm, software, and engineering teams to analyze and troubleshoot advanced systems in a dynamic R&D environment.

Creative Excellence : Create comprehensive supporting documentation, including test procedures, customer demo reports, and marketing materials.

Customer Champion : Provide exceptional support for installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Nova’s products.

Tech Trendsetter : Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to refine solutions.

Requirements

A degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field; a graduate degree is preferred.

Experience in OCD modeling, data analysis, and coding (e.g., MATLAB, Python).

Fluency in English.

Understanding of semiconductor metrology and processing fundamentals is strongly preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; customer interaction experience is a plus.

2+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication and manufacturing processes (e.g., lithography, CMP, deposition, etching) is preferred.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
