Job Description We are seeking a Senior Director of Value Engineering to lead our Product Development Engineering team, providing vision and technical leadership across product, packaging, and reliability engineering. This role involves driving the development of market-leading products from concept to execution, ensuring quality, budget, strategy, and an excellent consumer experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed cost engineering analysis to identify savings and perform cost-benefit analyses, collaborating with cross-functional partners.

Manage implementation processes across all market channels, including in-house design, contract manufacturing, and OEM.

Develop tools, frameworks, and enhance processes across engineering, quality, and cost management.

Optimize cross-functional processes and ensure successful project hand-offs.

Ensure products meet quality and regulatory standards, supporting marketing claims.

Oversee product testing to ensure performance, quality, and compliance, guiding the team based on results.

Work with production and suppliers to resolve issues related to capacity, quality, and delivery.

Plan organizational growth and skill development for the engineering function.

Handle additional projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related; Master’s preferred.

10+ years leading product engineering, with experience across categories like CPG, durables, electronics, or soft goods.

Proficiency in CAD software, preferably Solidworks.

Experience with Class I and II medical devices.

Experience managing product development for global markets and supply chains.

Strong negotiation, project management, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Ability to execute quickly, balancing speed, cost, and quality.

Ability to leverage new trends and technologies for product innovation.

Team Collaboration You will work closely with Operations, Sourcing, Finance, Brand Management, and Project Management teams.
