Director of Ocular Oncology Research

The UT Southwestern Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Director of Ocular Oncology Research, a new position integral to our research expansion. We are looking for an established researcher in cancer genetics/genomics, tumor immunology, or related fields. The successful candidate will collaborate with Department Chair Dr. J. William Harbour to develop a comprehensive research program focusing on ocular tumors such as uveal melanoma, retinoblastoma, ocular lymphoma, and ocular surface neoplasia. The candidate will benefit from our collaborative scientific community, state-of-the-art research facilities, and is encouraged to seek a joint appointment in a basic science department and join the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, a top-tier cancer research institution. Key qualifications include a strong record of high-impact cancer research, success in mentoring research trainees, leadership experience, and an interest in recruiting and developing research faculty to build a multidisciplinary ocular oncology program. Significant endowment support and development funds are available for qualified applicants. Candidates should hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent.
