$200,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr A rapidly scaling plaintiff-side law firm is seeking a Chief Operating Officer who will play a pivotal role in overhauling and building out the operational infrastructure of the firm. This high-impact leadership role will be responsible for redesigning and implementing scalable systems, processes, and teams across multiple departments, including HR, IT, legal support, and more. The ideal candidate will work closely with firm leadership to drive efficiency, create and monitor KPIs, oversee staffing strategies, and ensure operational excellence across the board.
This firm is looking for a strategic, self-driven operations executive with law firm experience—someone who thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments and is excited to help scale a business.
Salary Range:
$200,000 - $250,000 / year DOE
COO Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations across all departments in a high-growth legal environment Implement scalable processes, procedures, and systems across the organization Lead and build out the HR department, including recruitment of additional HR staff Establish and manage KPIs to measure performance and operational success Conduct regular departmental meetings to ensure alignment and progress Work cross-functionally with legal, HR, and IT to streamline operations and improve productivity Leverage data to identify issues and propose process improvements Hire, train, and manage a layer of middle management across departments Guide supervisors and department heads with best practices and operational oversight Maintain and elevate the firm’s strong culture during periods of growth Oversee internal implementation of IT solutions and evaluate software improvements
COO Requirements
10+ years of progressive experience in operations leadership, with at least 5 years in a C-suite role Experience working in a plaintiff-side law firm environment is a must Specific experience in Lemon Law or Personal Injury law required Proven track record of building and scaling operational infrastructure Demonstrated ability to lead HR strategy and employee relations Strong experience with legal systems is highly preferred Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability, team-first culture Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred Must be 100% onsite in the Los Angeles office
