Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
serves as a strategic advisor and partner to senior leadership within assigned business units at Emory Healthcare. This role is responsible for aligning and leading HR strategies with business objectives, driving organizational effectiveness, and fostering a positive employee experience. As an HR Business Partner leader, you support the transformation of the business through our people, culture, processes, and systems by focusing on talent, leadership capabilities, engagement, and change management. You should be a role model leader, talent development champion, and owner of culture transformation within the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Delivery Strategy:
Responsible for setting people strategies that develop future leaders and ensure Emory has the right capabilities and culture to achieve its strategic goals. Develop and implement plans to enhance employee engagement and enablement through leaders, including wellbeing and engagement initiatives. Guide leadership teams to improve their capabilities in performance coaching, difficult conversations, and employee relations. Influence the use of HR programs, dashboards, and activities to support effective business solutions. Service Metrics:
Educate the business on people trends and their impact on broader strategies. Use data and metrics to inform decisions and recommend future actions, utilizing tools like PeopleSoft, Power BI, and MS Teams. Collaboration and Support:
Serve as a point of escalation for complex inquiries, partnering with HR Centers of Excellence to align strategies, culture, and organizational structures, providing organization effectiveness and consultation services. Talent Development & Deployment:
Develop strategies for talent development and succession planning to build capabilities across levels and promote diversity. Change Management:
Lead initiatives related to HR service delivery improvements, ensuring smooth transitions for employees and HR staff. Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and optimize HR processes, systems, and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of six (6) years in an HR Business Partner or similar role, with leadership experience preferred. SPHR or PHR certification is a plus. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Broad HR technical knowledge and demonstrated leadership with a strong sense of accountability. Ability to build influential partnerships with senior leaders and stakeholders, understanding business fundamentals and decision-making processes. Thought partner for business leaders on all people strategies. Agility in promoting and modeling agile behaviors. Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, listening, and interpersonal skills. Excellent presentation, coaching, and communication skills. Strong executive presence with a proven track record of partnering with senior executives. Project management skills from planning to completion.
